Reducing Our Footprint
Environmental stewardship is central to our operations. We are prioritizing infrastructure upgrades, including 54 Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) assessments. In a program funded by Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) via BOMA Enspire, we’re beginning the installation of metering and building systems to improve our understanding of energy consumption levels at our properties, with a view to reducing energy consumption in future. At 19 sites, another shadow metering project provides tenants with real-time energy data to help them identify efficiency improvements. Additionally, our partnership with the Centre of Excellence in Next Generation Networks (CENGN) is refining our 2026 decarbonization plan to ensure the long-term resilience and efficiency of our portfolio.
Increasing Our Impact
Our social framework promotes a culture of professional development, with significant investment in annual training hours and a modernized, ethical supply chain. Our impact extends beyond our properties to community partnerships, including mental health support via Kids Help Phone, and environmental awareness initiatives like OnePlanet Take Action TREEvia. By focusing on connection, we build a more vibrant future for tenants, residents and community members alike.
Managing Our Risks and Opportunities
Through the VendorPM program, we now require supply chain partners to meet specific standards for health and safety, human rights and employment compliance. We are also integrating climate risk into our strategy, and using the “Be Cyber Aware” program to safeguard our digital systems.
