Morguard is pleased to announce that all four buildings in Place Innovation, Montreal, have earned the Building Owners and Managers Association, Building Environmental Standards (BOMA BEST) Gold certification. This recognition acknowledges their contributions to creating environmentally friendly and inclusive spaces.
BOMA BEST is North America’s largest environmental assessment and certification program for existing buildings, providing owners and managers with a consistent framework for assessing environmental performance and management.
The BOMA BEST Gold certification earned by Place Innovation reaffirms the team’s commitment to consistently working towards creating energy-efficient systems and an accessible environment for all. This dedication reflects our ongoing pursuit of sustainability and a positive impact on the communities where we operate.
These achievements are attributed to the properties’ significant contributions to sustainability through their efforts, which include:
• Obtaining Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification for providing accessible spaces
• Implementing a heat and energy recovery system and putting non-essential building lights on a timer
• Successfully completing the DCS Global Building Certification program for common area hygiene
• Currently, they are in the process of modernizing fixtures with LED lights
Congratulations to Place Innovation and our dedicated teams on this remarkable achievement!
