Triumphant Community Engagement at Lawson Heights

Lawson Heights Mall, recently achieved two remarkable successes, showcasing its commitment to making a positive impact.

In a noteworthy departure from traditional contests, Lawson Heights Mall initiated the “Back to School, School Spirit Showdown” campaign, redirecting its focus to community giving. Schools that were short-listed and recognized as being in the greatest need were nominated to compete for a $1,000 donation.

Collaborating with London Drugs, Bentley, Safeway, and Maurices, the mall went above and beyond, amassing over $2,800 in school supplies and snacks for WP Bates Community School. Recognizing the financial challenges faced by nominated schools, the donation aimed to alleviate pressures on students.

More recently, Lawson Heights Mall proudly hosted the Radio Marathon for Breast Cancer Research in partnership with local radio station C95. After a hiatus due to Covid, this year’s marathon raised $425,937 in a single day, marking a new fundraising record. Since its inception in 2000, the marathon has contributed over $6.3 million to breast cancer research, benefitting Saskatchewan.

With strong tenant support and contributions from businesses like Smitty’s and Bugsy’s, Lawson Heights Mall looks forward to continuing its role as the location sponsor for the 2024 event, exemplifying the community’s united front against breast cancer.

Congratulations to the entire Lawson Heights team for executing both initiatives with resounding success!
